2019 – The Year of Travel

Nothing cleanses my soul like a good holiday! Whether it’s a staycation in the UK, a couple of weeks with family in Tuscany or a romantic city break with the hubby, I always feel revitalised, re-motivated and content after some time away. Working for myself technically gives me the flexibility when it comes to travel, however we’re becoming bound my school holidays and the busier both the hubby and I get at work, actually leaves less time for big holidays. BUT, I don’t want to compromise on travel, as I know it truly makes us happy and I feel the cultural experiences are so beneficial for the kids at this age. Family Holiday Destinations in Italy: Cefalù, Sicily

If you follow my blog or my instagram, you’ll know two main things: 1. I am a major advocate for family travel (no matter how old your children are!) and 2. Italy has a special place in my heart. Everything about Italy…the landscapes, the food, the people…it is a country that feels like a second home to me.

Over the years, we’ve spent many-a family holiday in Tuscany, a place we’ve come to know well, but we’ve also enjoyed exploring the rest of Italy and there are a lot of places on my hit-list! I’ve been researching family holiday destinations in Italy and came across somewhere that looks to make the perfect family seaside getaway: Cefalù, Sicily. Babymoon at Swinton Estate, Yorkshire

If you’ve followed me on here or on my social media for a little while, you’ll know I’m due to give birth to our second child any day now. You’ll also know that I run my own business and have found juggling the work-life balance, whilst pregnant, quite tough. It’s been hard to let go, stop working and rest-up when my body has been telling me I need to!
