Tatton Park Foodies Festival

This weekend, we popped along to the Tatton Park Foodies Festival in Cheshire. The sun was shining (mostly) and our bellies were rumbling, so it seemed like the perfect pass-time.

Being the eager beavers that we are, we got there at 10.30am so we could scout all the different stands and foods on offer (and beat the crowds, who inevitably rocked-up just before lunch).

I had been asked by Vita Coco to pop along to the Foodies Festival on their behalf, pick-up some of their amazing coconut oil and come up with a recipe using the oil, inspired by the food on offer at the festival. Thanks Vita Coco! So this week, I’ll be working on that recipe to see what I can come up with…so watch this space!

But in the meantime, I thought I’d share some photos from the Foodies Festival itself, as I’d certainly check out the one in your area (they’re dotted across the UK throughout the summer)…

The Tatton Park Foodies Festival is not only in a stunning setting, but is packed full of food, tasters, demonstrations and markets. As you arrive, you’re greeted by a number of exhibitors, all wanting you to try their food and products (mmmm) and there are branded pop-up bars and seating areas too dotted around too. There is a marquee hosting chef demonstrations, wine and beer tastings etc (none of which I can currently enjoy unfortunately) and then a market set-up with fresh produce and cookery related products (we bought ourselves a set of ceramic chefs knives for ÂŁ30…RRP ÂŁ125!).

Tickets are very reasonably priced and the food available is too (plus there’s loads of freebies and tasters). We drove and parking was just ÂŁ5 and a few metres away from the entrance. Your tickets get you entry from 10am – 6pm on a Sunday in Manchester, but vary slightly from venue to venue.

Definitely be sure to check the Foodies Festivals out in your area! There’s still London, Edinburgh, Harrogate and Oxford to go.
