Safe Nights with Silentnight Trafford Centre – Baby Sleeping

Holly Wood By Holly Wood0 Comments5 min read91 views

I’m hopefully days away from giving birth to our second now and this last couple of weeks has been the first time this pregnancy, I’ve been able to focus and prepare for our imminent arrival. One of the biggest things that has played on my mind with this bubba is sleep. Our daughter, who’s now nearly 3 years old, has never been a good sleeper and has never gone through the night alone. In fact we’ve ended up co-sleeping and the two of us are incredibly knackered! So when I was invited to find out more about Safe Nights with Silentnight at the Trafford Centre, I was immediately intrigued…

Safe Nights with Silentnight

Now, what I will say is that as a parent, I’ve learnt that every baby is different and really it is luck of the draw whether you get a good sleeper or not. You can try all the sleep-training in the world, but if your little one doesn’t want to self-soothe, they won’t…until they are ready (which does happen eventually!). BUT, in those first 6 months of your baby’s life, your main concern is likely to be the safety of their sleeping, as opposed to the length of it and that’s what I discussed with the guys at Silentnight when I popped into visit them at their Trafford Centre (Barton Square) showroom. At 38 weeks pregnant, the timing seemed apt!

So what is the Safe Nights with Silentnight range?

You’ve probably heard of Silentnight and recognise the familiar hippo and duck mascot right? Maybe you’ve even bought your bed and mattress from there for yourselves? Well, did you know they have launched a new range of cot bed mattresses to help babies sleep safely and soundly, as well as a bunch of awesome sleep accessories too? That’s their Safe Nights range!

It’s easy to get sucked-into the familiar mother and baby brands on the high-street when it comes to preparing for your new arrival and I hadn’t even thought about Silentnight as somewhere to shop for our baby if I’m honest – so I’m so glad it was brought to my attention and I want to share it with you guys in case you weren’t aware either!

More about the range (the technical stuff you need to know)…

Free from foam or chemical treatments, the range is made from breathable materials and is designed to give little ones everything they need to grow up healthy and strong.

Created using 100 per cent recyclable and sustainable Eco Comfort fillings, the new range is breathable and helps regulate babies’ temperature, allowing them to breathe freely through the night, on a surface that’s kind to the environment.

All four mattresses come with washable covers, to give busy parents the flexibility they need when dealing with inevitable accidents through the night and Silentnight are already winning awards for this range.

The Safe Nights range, which is priced between £69 and £149, offers the reassurance of a safe night’s sleep for any budget, with all the mattresses made in the UK and tested to the highest UK standards for parents’ peace of mind.

Baby Sleep Accessories with Silentnight

The Safe Nights with Silentnight range also offers accessories for your baby’s sleep, including moses basket sheets, cot bedding and sleeping bags (something every parent should own!). I personally love the unisex grey star design they currently have, which you can see more of in my video at the top of this post. I also talk you through the other accessories in their range, which I can’t wait to tuck our little bundle-up in bed in.

It’s great to be able to head into store and get everything you need, taking you through from newborn, right to your own mattress and bedding – all in one place! Plus, the Trafford Centre Silentnight showroom is really lovely, super relaxed and the staff are friendly and helpful. The General Manager Sonny, was more than happy to talk me through the entire range, the difference in the mattresses and price options and help me understand which would be most practical for us.

The showroom itself is also welcoming to children, with a toddler play area and TV set-up (which is just what us parents need when we’re shopping, to help us out right?!).
