It feels like everything’s slowed-down a bit over this last few weeks, as there’s been less builders on site and the decorating side of things just isn’t as quick as the structural changes of previous weeks.

For the first 10-12 weeks, everything moved so quickly and there were changes every time we went to site, so it was instantly gratifying. But the last few weeks it feels like nothing is changing, though we know it is, slowly and our builders are working very very hard. Continue reading

The House Project – Parquet flooring options

Today I’m considering parquet flooring options…

Our new extension will create a large open-plan family living space that will flow from kitchen, through to dining, through to lounge in one fluid space. Well that’s the hope anyway! The entire space (which I think will be about 40-50sqm) will be on one level and therefore we’d like the same flooring throughout. The House Renovation Project – Week 1

Week 1 of our house renovation project is super exciting as it feels like a lot of work is achieved in a small space of time. This is basically because everything is being demolished, ripped-out and teared-down. My builder keeps reminding me that the next few weeks, won’t seem to move quite as fast. But that’s ok, it’s still exciting to see the progress thus far…

So you may have seen yesterday’s Instagram story and/or Facebook live post, but here’s the video walk-through of the house project as it stands at the end of Week 1.
