Hotel Eden Roc Positano

That time of year is here again…summer holiday time! And if you haven’t booked yours already, you need to get to the Amalfi Coast! Positano is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever experienced in my life and the Hotel Eden Roc made ours the trip of a lifetime!

We went last summer for 4 nights during our first visit to the Amalfi Coast, to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted somewhere 4* or above and found the Hotel Eden Roc Positano on Booking.com. For me, the most important thing when staying somewhere on the sea, is having a balcony with a view, so this was the main criteria when looking for the best room we could afford. Hotel Eden Roc have a great selection of rooms and suites (some even have a hot tub!) and we booked a Superior Room with balcony. And what a view we had!Continue reading

Driving to Tuscany – what you need to know

This Easter we decided to holiday in Tuscany to hopefully get a bit of much need sun, rest and relaxation. And that’s exactly what we got.

Hubby, the girlies and I decided to drive (yes drive!) over, which if you’re interested, takes approx 18 hours door to door. But that’d be solid driving, so we always break up the drive with an overnight stop-off in Geneva (which works about half way from Calais). This means it’s about 5 hours from Manchester to Folkestone, then we cross over on the Eurotunnel (brilliant, as you can drive straight on and take your doggy if you like), then it’s about 6-7 hours to Geneva.Continue reading

Hotel Baia Lara Antalya – Beach Cabana

Our first ever trip to Turkey was going to be the ultimate in rest and relaxation. We spent a lot of time researching the perfect 5* all inclusive holiday resort and with the help of Thomson Holidays, opted to stay in the chic Hotel Baia Lara in the Antalya region of Turkey.

And we weren’t disappointed! We enjoyed a 10 night stay in mid September this year. We chose this time as it would still be hot (was 28-35 degrees during our stay), but there’d be less kids and families on holiday (sorry, but we wanted a romantic trip away). This hotel was also recommended by Thomson for being a good couples resort with adults-only areas. Winner!Continue reading
